As a student at Wai Hong's Fu Jow Pai, I was in attendance at the 1976 fight in a downtown NY school auditorium, in which the Paul swiftly and quickly knocked out the so called grandmaster from Taiwan, Jin Lee Chin. It was amazing. Even though it was over 30 years ago, I remember it like it were yesterday.

I was a student of Sensei Ian Rugel in Guayaquil - Ecuador, I had the pleasure to meet you many many years ago when you went to visit sensei and to a tournament al San Jose La Salle school in Guayaquil - Ecuador, I began to train with sensei Rugel when I was 21 years old, years later I was in New York and I visited the academy where you trained with sensei Toyotaro Miyasaki, years after that I went to visit again but the academy was not in the same place any more, and I couldn't find it, now I am 46 years old and I would like to know about you and your academy sensei Vizzio, if it is possible, God bless you and good luck!!!!

Hi Vizzio, I don't think you remember me, but I used to take your kickboxing classes at the Flushing Miyazaki Dojo. I don't know if mentioning that I was that asian girl with glasses, braces, and long hair rings a bell.
I was just bragging to my friend how awesome you were as a person, fighter and teacher, and showed him your website. I really miss having you around and taking your classes. You were very inspirational and will probably remain one of the most amazing martial artists I'll meet in this lifetime. I hope all is well, and that I get an opportunity to see you again! Take care.

Hi Sifu, Do you remember me? I trained in your school on Bergenline for few years at the beginning of 90's. I don't know if this site is still active because I saw the date 1999 and now is May 7, 2007. I found your site by typing your name and I am glad I found it. I've read all comments and feel very happy to see lots of name I remember from my time, especially your daughters, Palos, Santin twins, Fiorella. Some moved out as far as to Florida and California. Some are very successful in their professional carrier. The discipline and focus you taught us guided us and helped to go through our life and we all are very thankful for that. I will never forget the years I spent in your school. Martial Arts is not a science, is a way of life and a love for it cannot be lost. I still have a school jacket and I am proudly wearing it. I saw some pictures posted but I haven't seen any from Atlantic City in 1993 and our trip to Montreal in 1994 to see your fights. I wish you and your family all the best as well as twins and Palos and everybody in your school.

Hey Sifu paul,You might have forgotten who i am, But I knew you when you had long hair. I used to run from wall street to chinatown to the fu-jow pai practice by the manhattan bridge back in the early 70's! You would remark if i ever changed my socks becuase they used to smell!ha!!

Hi Sifu- I came across your website looking for a new place to take Kung Fu closer to my new home (Oakland, NJ--Bergen County). I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say "so long" and let you know I was moving but it all came so suddenly during the start of a new job, too. I am very disappointed that I will be too far away (especially for my scooter) for your Kung Fu classes for a 2nd year. I'm hoping to find another place to practice Kung Fu but it doesn't look favorable for Kung Fu so if you have any suggestions in your Kung Fu/Kickboxing circle please let me know. Thanks to the great experience you gave I want to continue on with a martial art.....I might have to switch into Karate or Tae Kwondo since they seem to be easier to come by. I was at Columbia U. in the 1970s when you were teaching FJP there - before you started the Union City school - and I saw you fight in Chinatown in the school auditorium when you knocked out Lee Man. Sifu Vizzio. I used to watch you fight professionally as a youngster growing up in New York. As I began studying Kung Fu, there were two people that I watched evry closely: Bruce Lee and you. It's pretty sad to see that this boy, Borja, thinks of himself to be a skilled martial artist. After his "extensive" training with his current facility, he still does not realize that the true meaning of martial arts is not physical; it's a spiritual "thang"! Obviously, Sifu Vizzio couldn't break through his hard head. Also, martial arts is also about RESPECT, no matter what style/animal/instructor/language. Remember that "true martial artists" stands apart from the average person. Sorry to say Mr. Borja, you still stand as a less-than-average boy. Everything Sifu Vizzio has ever taught me, I unlearned everyday in my way of life. I feel, Sifu has pushed me to be a better person than I would've been without him. During my absence at Wai Mo Kwoon, I truly missed his teachings and guidance; for they would carry special meaning in them. I saw Sifu everywhere I went. For example, when I saw Star Wars' Attack of the Clones - Yoda was my Sifu! I always told myself I would rejoin my brothers and sisters at the school someday. I have turned away many opportunities to get the chance to step my foot into Sifu's Kung Fu School once again. And now, I have returned. It feels wonderful. Yat, Yee, Sum... Hey Vizzio, how's everything? At first,I thought it was unfortunate that I wouldn't be able to learn kung fu from you (anytime soon anyway), but having to miss out on your kickboxing "medicine", too, is a real drag. I got some good news from my therapist and doctor, saying that I may not need my surgery and that I may be able to return after two months if everything goes well. I used to attend the Miyazaki Shotokan karate school in Flushing, Queens. I remember taking classes with Sifu Vizzio attending the practice. I always remember the fantastic for and complete descipline he had. I remember seeing his childern and wife and thinking how fantastic. Till this day when I speak of Martial Arts training I love to be able to say I train along side Paul Vizzio. I even saw him fight on TV once accidently. As most of you are aware, Sifu's fight is on May 15, 1999 in Atlantic City. Tickets are available through the school (201-223-KICK) and cost $40.00. Also, those of you who would like transportation can purchase a $60.00 package which includes your ticket, a bus ride to and from Atlantic City and a $15.00 coin redemption coupon at the casino. Please call the school to reserve seating is limited on the bus.
